Inner Shadow 3.0

So, yeah. Here is a bigger version of the newer part of my contest entry.

Really, if I were to choose only one of my drawings for being redone (and indeed I didn't have time to do more than one) this was the obvious choice. Sooner or later I'm sure I would've redone it anyway. This is basically my draw-a-new-better-version-from-time-to-time picture and I'm quite attached to it, too. This is the 4th version and most likely not the last one. Here, you can have a look at each of them:

Ver. beta which was essentially done for fun and I knew immediately that I was going to redo it digitally.
Ver. 1.0 in which she accidentally became naked, because I forgot to draw her shirt. XD She's been naked ever since. Funny thing is, I think I like this version better now than I did by the time I drew version 2.0.
Ver. 2.0 in which she non-accidentally became wingless, because the wing was stupid. I liked this one quite a lot when it was new, and I can still see why, even if I'm not so fond of it anymore.

You can see that I changed her hair a little, so it's now behind her back. That's because when I tried to put it in front, she looked like a spaniel XD
Right now I really, really like this new version, and I think it's a big improvement, but I still can't shade hair. Or shade anything, for that matter. My shading is an equivalent of playing an arcade fighting game and mashing all the buttons randomly in hope that it will work somehow. But I'm trying! Actually, I need to work on coloring in general.
I feel that this picture could use more work; I find the end result somewhat unpolished. That's 'cause I was in a real hurry to get it done, I barely made it in time (and then run out of the house to catch my last-chance bus so I wouldn't be late for school XD ). Basically, I put a lot of time and effort in the sketch, I put a lot of time and effort in getting the base colors of her skin and hair and blending the two halves together, I put a lot of time and effort in in coloring and shading the eyes... then I just went all "meh, it'll do, next!" with all the rest, lineart included, because I just didn't have any more damn time. xD By which I mean that, of course, I tried hard to make it all look good, but there was no way to go back and do any corrections. So I'm not completely satisfied, but I'll leave it as is now. 'Till version 4.0!
